Month Command Clash in BaZi

A Month Command Clash points first to movement in work. Since the month command is usually read as the career palace, a Clash (冲) there often shows some kind of career change, but you should not jump straight to “I’ll change jobs.”

Work May Shift Without a Job Change

If your job is stable, one Clash does not mean you must leave it. Some people spend their whole lives working in the same place. The movement may show up inside the job instead: a transfer to another post, a change in duties, or a new line of work added to what you already do.

So read the sign with the real situation in front of you. The chart may be pointing to adjustment rather than exit.

Favorable or Unfavorable

The next question is whether the Clash affects something favorable or unfavorable in the chart. If the Clash restrains the Unfavorable God (忌神), the thing the chart does better without, the result can be useful. You may get promoted, move up, or quietly gain more authority behind the scenes.

If the Clash acts in an unfavorable way, then trouble can follow. The exact form depends on the actual combination in the chart. It may show money loss, or it may show disputes and criticism. You have to read the whole structure before deciding which one it is.

Most Cases Are Not Bad

In many charts, the month command is quite often tied to the Unfavorable God. For that reason, a Clash to the month command is often not a big problem. In many cases, it can even be fairly good.

But the chart still has the last word. If the specific combination makes the Clash work in a bad direction, then the change is usually larger, and you should pay attention to it.
