The BaZi Pattern Behind Sudden Wealth
In BaZi, certain rare patterns are associated with a sudden rise from hardship to wealth. Many people want to know whether their chart holds that possibility, but such leaps appear far more often in television dramas and films than in real life.
How a Sudden Reversal Can Happen
Sudden wealth is rare, though it isn't impossible. Someone may have a chart crowded with the Unfavorable God (忌神), the influence that works against what the chart needs, and may struggle for a long time as a result.
Then one particular combination of annual and luck-cycle influences may control those unfavorable forces. The person's position can change at once. After spending years near the bottom, they may suddenly reach the top. Such reversals can happen, but they remain uncommon.
Why the Opportunity Often Involves Harsh Forces
The chance for this kind of explosive rise often involves forces traditionally seen as fierce or difficult. One example is a chart with several Qi Sha (七杀), the Seven Killings, which represent pressure the chart has to handle. During a certain luck cycle, Shi Shen (食神), the mild output star associated with easy, pleasant expression, may control the Qi Sha.
Another example combines Shang Guan (伤官), or the Hurting Officer, which is associated with sharp, forceful expression, with Indirect Wealth (偏财). If the annual and luck-cycle influences strongly support that pairing, they may create the conditions for sudden wealth.
People with these combinations often dislike the steady routine of a regular job. At times, others may even see them as unfocused or unwilling to follow a proper line of work. Yet when the right opportunity arrives, the people most able to become rich overnight are often those who have taken an unconventional path.
