Indirect Wealth in the Year and Month Positions

Indirect Wealth, the flexible or opportunity-based form of Wealth, has a wider scope when it appears in the year or month position. In BaZi, the year and month positions cover a larger sphere, while the day and hour positions cover a smaller one. This difference in size does not necessarily mean that one has more energy than the other. It describes the scale of the platform available to you.

A Larger Platform for Wealth

With Indirect Wealth in the year or month position, you may be more likely to work through a large organization or cooperate with people who command substantial resources. That can let you benefit from the reach and advantages of a bigger platform.

Position alone is not enough, though. The chart works better when Indirect Wealth belongs to a useful combination. One possible arrangement is Cai Zhi Yin, Wealth controlling the Resource stars. In this structure, you can gain wealth and status through skills, strategy, planning, or management. It can also describe a senior executive who achieves results through intellectual work.

Output Generating Indirect Wealth

Another strong combination is Shi Shang Sheng Cai, the output stars generating Wealth. It becomes especially effective when Indirect Wealth occupies the broader year or month position. If the Wealth star has strength and the output stars also have strength and roots, the overall arrangement is usually quite good.

This combination often gives you an active mind and plenty of ideas. A person whose output generates Indirect Wealth tends to think along less conventional lines. Their ideas often take a different path from those of most people.

Whether that unconventional thinking leads to something useful or illegal is a separate question. But an unconventional idea can sometimes mean less competition. You may spot a route other people have missed and become the first to profit from it.
