The Ji Earth Shi Shen Zhi Sha Pattern for Wealth and Status

Ji, the garden or field earth stem, can reach wealth and high status by dealing well with the pressure created by Yi wood. The result depends on whether the chart can control that pressure.

Why Ji Earth Usually Dislikes Yi Wood

For a Ji Earth Day Master, Yi, a yin-wood stem, represents Qi Sha, the Seven Killings, or pressure the chart has to handle. In most cases, Ji Earth does not favor Yi wood, even though Yi serves as Qi Sha in this relationship.

That judgment is not absolute. Do not take the mere presence of Qi Sha as the final verdict. The key question is whether the chart can control it. Once the person can handle that pressure, their prospects can improve dramatically. If the chart cannot control it, the result tends to be unfavorable.

Controlling or Binding the Seven Killings

Suppose Ji Earth has Yi revealed as a stem. If Xin, a metal stem, is also revealed, Xin metal can control Yi wood. This creates Shi Shen Zhi Sha, a structure in which Shi Shen, the mild output star, controls the Seven Killings.

Geng, another metal stem, can also deal with Yi. Yi and Geng form a Combination that binds the two stems. In this case, Geng metal ties up Yi wood, preventing the Seven Killings from attacking the Day Master or damaging the chart’s structure.

Both approaches can work, but the amount of Qi Sha still matters. Ji Earth represents garden or field earth. It does not respond to wood in quite the same way as Wu, another earth stem, which often benefits when Jia, a yang-wood stem acting as Qi Sha, loosens and works the earth. With Ji Earth, too much Yi wood tends to create excessive pressure.

In life, that pressure may show up through troublesome people or disputes that cause persistent frustration. This outcome is not inevitable; it becomes a concern when the chart contains too much Qi Sha or cannot control it.

When Ji Earth does form a sound Shi Shen Zhi Sha structure, however, the pattern carries considerable potential for status and distinction.
